The Lithuanian Virgilius ALEKNA is certainly one the world best discus throwers ever. His PB is 73,88m , only 20cm short from the Jürgen SCHULT world record. A solid thrower physically (2,00m – 130kg) but also technically with a career extending over 20 years. Double Olympic champion , double World champion and multiple top international podiums (8 participation at the world champs !) A ”simple” technique without frills but with some points not conform for the ”purists” which have been his trademark (especially the way he is using his left arm) . A great solid job !
