This was probably the most unexpected double . One was waiting for a fight between the Canadian MITTON and the American JACKSON … and we got a fight (as much exciting)  between the German OGUNLEYE and Maddison WESCHE from New Zealand. Maddison , has the ”bad” habit (Bad for the opponents !) to improve her PB in all the world level competition she has been taking part and here she nearly make it to the gold !. It is also quite comforting to see that one can so so far , even more that most of the other competitors , without being huge and hypertrophied and without the use of graffiti or ugly provocative disguises  .olympics are not the place for this sort of exhibitions. Of course , the rain came and creates some perturbation because of the slippery circle , but it is part bof the game and the best throwers of the day have won . The Americans have been clearly defeated , the Chinese have mad e a good last stand . A new generation of throwers has taken over and could well keep it for a while !
