Kristjan CEH certainly wanted to redeem himself after his relative failure at Tokyo Olympics. Ad he did it with style. in the first round Andrius GUDZIUS took the lead with 67.31m, closely followed by ALEKNA 66.54m and the Olympic champion Daniel STAHL 66.59m . CEH was only 5th with 65.27m behind the Samoan ROSE 65.57m. He took the lead in the 2nd round with 69.02m with ALEKNA improving to 67.87m and PETTERSSON coming in 3rd with 67.00m. The 3rd round produced the winning throw for CEH with a championships record at 71.13m. ALEKNA was the main opposition with a 4th attempt at 69.27m. CEH had another 70m throw in the 5th round with 70,51m . STAHL was not able to do better than 67.10m and the game was over when nobody improved in the last round .
