Ramona is again the center of interest of the discus world . More records , more performances , more wind , more suspicion , more controversy , more expert advices.  We have published recently a rather (On purpose) provocative post . It was just to put the finger where it hurts and open the eyes on the consequences and side effects of this unique experience . Of course the pro and contra were mostly those who were or were not involved in this experience, making the usual expected points. In fact everybody is fully entitled of its own opinion and probably detains a part of the thruth ,( if there should be any truth at all) but quite often ,this part of the truth is because they see only a part of the picture.

We have tried in this document to get some distance from something which is rather futile (Who does really care that a discus flies 74 or 75m or more ?  Only a few hundreds of people , and even then, it’s not the end of the world if the bloody thing is falling too early or go a few cm further than the other competitors.

In the general world picture , the discus throw is a very , very , very little part of the human activities and worries . (You just need to open your TV and look at the news to understand that).  But curiously , it does reflect many of the things that we can observe around us and this does explains that. A world without rules or where rules are inadequate or made for some and not for others , can become easily unmanageable .

And the rules of athletics belongs to this …rule !                DLP
