ASIA IS TAKING OVER THE JAVELIN WORLD : After Neeraj CHOPRA (India) (Olympic and world champion) , Arshad NADEEM (Pakistan) (Olympic champion 2024) , Haruka KITAGUCHI (Japan) (World and Olympic champion) , Ziyi YAN (China) (-20 world record 71.74m) and a few other good throwers that we cannot name all  , it’s now Rumesh Tharanga PATHIRAGE , from Sri Lanka who is now the best thrower in the world with a 92.62m PB , (last thrower to break the 90m line and 8th all time performance in the world) …and now the new Commonwealth games champion with 89.75m , beating CHOPRA (85.83m) , SINGH (85.41m) , PETERS (83.88m) , SMIT (82.88m) , WALCOTT (82.55m) , YADAV (81.56m) , EAST (81.12m) and NADEEM (77.41m)by a large margin

R T PATHIRAGE  is not one of these body builded athletes that we still see too often in the international competitions who just content to be strong and hit hard with more or less success before they get injured . Great technique and great speed ! At only 23 years , he has a few years in front of him ….and hopefully a few more metres to improve !
