This was probably one of the weakest European women javelin championship in a long time . Confirming , unfortunately, that the centre of the javelin throw world has moved toward other continents . A gold medal with less than 63m for the Croatian  Sara KOLAK at 62,49m and the bronze medal just over 60m for the Serbian Adriana VILAGOS with 60,93m behind the German ULBRICHT at 61.53m. VILAGOS , with a 67.22m PB was a logical favourite , but she is not confirming the great expectations she had arisen in her teen age . A competition where the French girl  Alizée MINARD (5th with 59.81m) , was close to the podium but obviously limited by a few arguable technical choices which do not concretise her obvious potential and remarkable arm speed . you had to throw only 56.90m to make it to the top 12 final and these will probably rise some regret among a few non selected throwers in the 60m range !
