In the first part of this chapter you are invited to a ”find the differences game” to compare two athletes who are training at 20 000 kms distance , share the same ”distance coach” advices and who will soon (Next week) meet for the first time in Auckland. Tom’s French coach Regis QUERARD will also be there .   That will be an interesting experience for both athletes .Hopefully the source for further progresses.

In the 2nd part of this chapter we have not only compared these 2 throwers , but we have made some more interesting comparisons about 12 key phases of the throw with the world record holder Mykolas ALEKNA to try to find the areas where improvements were still possibles . Mykolas being in the moment one of the most recognised technical models in the event.  Identifying the differences doesn’t necessarily mean to copy and produce some sorts of Alekna’s clones . it means to try to find what really make the difference and what is eventually adaptable to somebody else with different characteristics and background.
