Warming up is important . Especially in the Javelin throw because of the high speeds and the huge stress on the joints . Unfortunately it is often difficult to warm up properly. Either there no allowed warm up area for throwing , either there is too much time to spend waiting in the call room , either you are only allowed to get the only 2 ” official warm up” throws once on the competition area and not even allowed to use an implement to do some drills between your attempts. So it is better to build a routine of drills to prepare the different parts of the body . Usually you don’t have much time and you have to go for the essential ; arousal , physical and mental preparation , technical preparation , progressive intensity . Some people just sit and wait to be called , some people don’t stop moving and get exhausted before they have even started , some people start a real ”training session” , some people start for a middle distance running session , some people need to lift weights, some people already do their competition before coming on the field , some are disturbed if they don’t get their usual little ”toys” or whatever. So among all these situations , you have to know what is the best for you. The available documents will show different exercises and possibilities of warming up. …Vid 1 Warming up exercises with the implement -”She’s got the look !” …
