The world javelin scene is changing . During a long time it was nearly the exclusive domain of the northern Europe countries and more especially Finland where javelin was nearly considered as some sort of cultural religion . The German were also consistently producing great throwers . Hungary , Tchecoslovakia , Russia , Norway , Sweden , England , Greece …were also quite often placing people on the international podiums. Out of Europe ,USA , South Africa and Australia were sometimes successful. But in the recent years we have seen a remarkable extension of the number of countries producing top class javelin throwers . After Keshorn WALCOTT (Trinitad Tobago) ,, Julius YEGO (Kenya) ,Chao Tsung CHEN (Taipeh) ,ABDELRAHMAN (Egypt) , ZHAO (China) and the very mediatic Olympic victory of Neeraj CHOPRA (India) , another name is making history : Anderson PETERS from Granadawho won the last world championship in 2019 and more recently has broken into the very exclusive club of the 90m throwers with a 93.07m performance .
