The 2nd part of these conditioning drills serie is about the trunk . Training your trunk may not be as ”spectacular” as squatting for the legs or benching for the arms. It is also less ”fun” and quite complexe as you have to cover all the different actions of the trunk (Flexion, extension , stabilisation , rotation) and all the differents parts of the body which are involved (Abdos , lower back , obliques ) usually under the chapter of ”core strength” . The trunk is the ”transmission” area of all the forces and therefore it is essential that it should be the ”weak link” in the preparation of all athletes and more especially of the throwers.
